Strawberries and even perhaps mulberries on the nose. On the tongue, a bit of numbness but what stood out the most for me surprisingly, was the sheer beauty of the dance of this wine on my tongue – for the first time in my life I can say I have an idea what sunshine tastes like.
Apart from the tannins making my tongue slightly numb and my mouth a tad dry, this wine has my thumbs-up.

I am not, I must say, a Rosé fan. The reason for this is purely the sweetness. If, however, it is your thing – I suggest you try this one on for size.
This particular wine had a very fruity flavour, and I feel it would certainly appeal to Rosé fans.

Fresh nose of boiled sweets, laced with some strawberry. Time in the glass evokes interesting toffee nuances.
The light candy apple palate finishes nice and dry – a real easy drinker. Could pair interestingly with light dishes, but probably best drunk as an ice-cold party starter this summer. Fair value.

All I have to say is…Strawberries! Even wine drinkers with a palate as inexperienced as mine will identify the strong strawberry after-taste and bouquet.
I have to admit I am not a big Rosé fan but at R40 a bottle this wine definitely exceeds its price expectation. What’s more, the strong strawberry notes will be likely to get the ladies frothing at the mouth for another glass.
This wine is not as sweet as some rosé’s tend to be and would be a great way to get the ball rolling for any evening or late afternoon…which is to be left up to your own imagination to interpret.

A lovely, off-dry wine. However, probably belongs in the punch bowl rather than the decanter.
Smacks you through the face with a fist full of slightly over-ripe strawberries, both on the nose and in the mouth. However, if you’re into that sort of thing, you’ll probably go back for seconds.
